falls church, va - primary bath
project background
This bathroom remodel in Falls Church focused on improving both functionality and long-term usability while maintaining a clean, updated aesthetic. The existing bathroom was outdated and featured a small, enclosed shower that limited comfort and accessibility.
The homeowner wanted to remain in the home long-term and needed a space that would support aging-in-place, while still feeling modern and visually appealing. The goal was to maximize the existing footprint without undertaking a full structural renovation or significantly increasing project costs.
To achieve this, we reworked the layout by moving the shower back approximately 2 feet, allowing for a much deeper and more functional shower space. The project also included upgrading all finishes, fixtures, and lighting while incorporating subtle accessibility features.
The result is a bright, efficient bathroom that feels significantly larger and more comfortable without expanding the overall footprint.
